What wear layer do I need for a commercial space?

For most commercial offices, a 20 mil wear layer is the baseline; heavy-traffic retail and corridors often warrant 28 mil. Residential-grade plank (6–12 mil) wears through in walk paths fast under commercial traffic. We spec the wear layer to how the space is actually used so the floor holds its finish.

Why does moisture testing matter before installing LVP?

Concrete slabs emit moisture vapor, and too much of it causes adhesive failure, cupping, and lifting — the most common LVP failure we get called to fix. We run an RH probe test first and, where readings are high, use a moisture-mitigation system or the correct adhesive rather than installing and hoping.

Can you install over our existing floor?

Sometimes — it depends on the existing floor's condition and flatness. Often the better long-term result comes from removing the old flooring and prepping the slab, because LVP telegraphs whatever is under it. We assess and give you the honest call rather than defaulting to the fastest option.

Can you install without closing our business?

Yes. We can phase the install by area and work after hours or on weekends, and many commercial LVP systems allow a quick return to service. We'll build the sequence around your operations.
