I.OVERVIEW
Sized correctly. Permitted. Marine-grade where it matters.
South Bay HVAC has two non-negotiables most contractors skip: a real Manual J heat-load calculation that sizes the system to your specific home, and corrosion-resistant equipment for properties within the salt-air zone. Paragon does both. We install central AC, heat pumps, mini-split systems, and gas furnaces, replace failing ductwork to Title 24 leakage standards, and pull permits on every install — including the HERS verification that California requires for system replacements.
II.WHY IT MATTERS
In Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, El Porto, the Hollywood Riviera, and within roughly two miles of the coast in Redondo and Torrance, standard aluminum-fin condenser coils corrode visibly within 4–7 years. Paragon specs marine-rated coils with copper/copper construction or factory anti-corrosion coatings as a baseline on coastal installs — adding 8–12 years of useful life over standard equipment.
An oversized AC short-cycles, leaving humidity high and rooms uneven — common in marine-layer climates. An undersized system runs constantly and never recovers on the few hot days a year. We run a Manual J load calculation that accounts for your actual square footage, insulation, window orientation, and infiltration rate — the difference between a 3-ton and 4-ton call is real money and real comfort.
California Title 24 requires HERS field verification on most HVAC equipment changeouts and any duct system that's modified. Paragon coordinates the HERS rater, schedules the test, and provides the certificate of compliance for your records and resale. Skipping this — which many contractors quietly do — leaves you exposed at sale and at insurance renewal.

VI.THE PARAGON DIFFERENCE
The Work
AC installation, heating replacement, mini-split systems, ductwork replacement, and HVAC diagnostic repair.
The Paragon Difference
We spec marine-rated coils for coastal corrosion and run a real Manual J load calc — not a back-of-napkin tonnage estimate that leaves your home over- or under-cooled.
