What's the difference between custom and semi-custom cabinets?

Semi-custom cabinets come in stocked sizes with limited modifications (depth, width adjustments) and pre-set finish options. Lead time is typically 8–14 weeks. Custom cabinets are built to your exact specifications with any size, finish, and modification — lead time is 12–20 weeks and cost is 30–60% higher. For most kitchens, semi-custom is the right fit; very tight spaces or specific design intent may justify custom.

Quartz vs quartzite — what's the difference?

Despite the similar name, they're completely different. Quartz is engineered stone — natural quartz crystals bound with resin, sold under brand names like Caesarstone and Silestone. Consistent pattern, no sealing needed, very durable. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone harder than granite. Beautiful natural pattern, more expensive, and requires sealing. We match the material to your priorities.

Can you reuse my existing cabinet boxes and just replace the doors?

Yes — that's cabinet refacing. If your boxes are sound (plywood construction, square, well-secured), refacing replaces door and drawer fronts and applies a new veneer to box exteriors at roughly 40–60% of the cost of new cabinets. For solid plywood boxes that just look dated, refacing is a strong value play. Particleboard boxes that are sagging or delaminated should be replaced.

How long does a kitchen cabinet and counter project take?

From demo to final install: cabinets typically take 2–4 days to install once delivered, counter templating happens immediately after, and counters are installed 7–14 days after templating. Total from start of demo to functional kitchen is typically 2–4 weeks, not counting the 8–20 week cabinet lead time before demo begins.
