Why do concrete driveways crack in the South Bay?

Do retaining walls need permits?

In most South Bay cities, retaining walls over 4 feet measured from the bottom of footing to the top of wall require a permit. Walls supporting a surcharge (a driveway, structure, or hillside above) often require permits regardless of height. We verify the local code and pull permits as needed.

How long should concrete cure before I drive on it?

A residential driveway should be kept off vehicles for at least 7 days, with full design strength reached at 28 days. Walking traffic is fine after 24 hours. We cover the surface and apply curing compound to slow moisture loss and improve final strength — especially important in dry, windy South Bay weather.

Can you stamp or color my new concrete?
