We mechanically profile the slab, repair cracks and control joints, verify the concrete's moisture level, and only then coat. The result holds up to forklifts, foot traffic, wash-downs, and chemical exposure instead of peeling in a year.

Our Floor-Coating Process

1. 01Slab evaluation and moisture test — we assess the existing concrete, check for prior coatings and moisture-vapor issues, and confirm the slab is a candidate before quoting.
2. 02Mechanical surface prep — we diamond-grind or shot-blast to an industry-standard concrete profile (CSP). This is the step budget contractors skip, and it's the reason their coatings fail.
3. 03Crack, spall, and joint repair — cracks and gouges are filled and honored control joints are treated so they don't telegraph or re-crack through the finish.
4. 04Primer and base coat — a penetrating primer locks into the profiled slab, followed by the base epoxy at spec thickness.
5. 05Broadcast and topcoat — flake or quartz broadcast where specified, then a polyaspartic or urethane topcoat for wear, UV, and chemical resistance.
6. 06Cure and return-to-service handoff — we give you clear foot-traffic and full-load timelines so you know exactly when racking, equipment, and vehicles can come back.

How long before we can use the floor again?

It depends on the system. Standard epoxy typically needs 24 hours for foot traffic and 3–7 days before heavy loads like forklifts and racking. Polyaspartic systems can often take foot traffic the same day and full service the next — which is why we recommend them for operations that can't afford extended downtime. We give you exact timelines before we start so you can plan around them.

Why do epoxy floors peel or bubble, and how do you prevent it?

Almost every coating failure traces back to two things: inadequate surface prep and trapped moisture. If a coating is rolled over a slick or sealed slab it never bonds, and if the concrete has a high moisture-vapor rate the coating lifts. We mechanically grind or shot-blast every slab to a proper profile and moisture-test before coating — the two steps that prevent the failures you've probably seen elsewhere.

Can you coat an occupied or operating facility?

Usually, yes. We can phase the work by section, work nights or weekends, and use fast-cure polyaspartic systems to minimize disruption. We'll build a sequence around your operations during the estimate.

Do you do anti-slip floors for commercial kitchens?

Yes. For kitchens, wash bays, and wet areas we install broadcast-aggregate and anti-slip systems that create a sanitary, seamless, slip-resistant surface suited to health-code environments.
